The recruitment for the REF 2029 Assessment Panels and Panel Secretariat is now open. Who should apply?
The REF panels seek a diverse and inclusive group of experts with experience in research quality assessment, research impact, and research environments. Applications are encouraged from researchers at all career stages, disciplines, and backgrounds, with a focus on ensuring underrepresented groups are included.
- Deadline for sub-panel chair and deputy chair roles: Midday, Thursday 6 February 2025
- Other panel roles’ deadline: Midday, Monday 28 April 2025
The REF team also invites experienced research professionals to apply for secondments to the Panel Secretariat, with both Panel Advisors and Panel Secretaries sought. Applications for these roles close at midday on Monday 13 January 2025.
