The Choir is open to all Loughborough University students, staff and members of the public aged 16 plus. In addition to weekly practices, the Choir gives several public performances a year, including Christmas and spring concerts. The Choir are also invited to be a part of other University events such as the Annual Carol Service, Christmas in the Woods and one-off events.
Run by LU Arts and conducted by Eleanor Graff-Baker, the Choir rehearses on a Monday evening at the Cope Auditorium (Edward Barnsley Building) during term time only, from 7pm-9pm. Rehearsals will resume on Monday 13 January.
Membership costs £10 per concert period (January-May or September-December). This cost includes weekly rehearsals and the loan of any sheet music you may need. Student membership is free but students should still register. You can purchase a membership for the academic year 2024/2025 or for just one concert period.
New members wishing to join in January 2025 can come along to either of the first two rehearsals of the spring term (6 or 13 January) without registering in advance.
