To help bring our values to life in everything we do we’re excited to share news about our new Values and Behaviours Toolkit. Launching in January, this toolkit will lay the foundation for creating a positive culture where our values guide how we work together.
Our toolkit has been shaped with extensive input from many of you and other colleagues across the University, identifying the behaviours most important to us when we think of our values. It provides us all with a practical way to embody our values through our day to day actions and will help us foster an inclusive, empowering, and collaborative culture across every corner of our university.
The behaviours you’ve identified as being most important are all about shaping a workplace where our values guide how we interact, make decisions, and support one another. By aligning our actions with our values, we’ll strengthen our sense of community, ensuring that our university remains a place where we all feel valued, supported, and inspired to achieve our best, both individually and collectively.
In the new year, we’ll launch the Values and Behaviours Toolkit ready for it to be explored further in your School or Service to identify what our values mean in practice to each of us, and how we can all embrace the behaviours in our roles.
To learn more about our values, watch our Vice Chancellor, Professor Nick Jennings, in his interview where he shares why he believes our values are so important and how they will shape our future.
Thank you to each of you who have contributed to this project over the last 12 months. Your insights and ideas have been instrumental in this work and in mapping out the future pathway for how we bring our values to life as part of our important work on People & Culture at Loughborough.
As we take this exciting step together, we invite you to stay tuned for updates and opportunities to get involved. Together, let’s bring our values to life and continue building a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive Loughborough community.
