The training can be accessed via Learn and consists of a video presented by Dr Sarah Williamson, Deputy Director of Organisational Development.
Please note, the PDR Reviewer Briefing training is mandatory for all those new to reviewing at Loughborough and acts as a useful refresher for those who have not reviewed for a while or wish to remind themselves how to approach the role. To support existing reviewers, the primary updates for this year have been placed at the start of the briefing.
The next PDR window will run from January – April 2025, so reviewers are encouraged to undertake the training in advance to support their preparations.

- The PDR process and principles
- The expectations of reviewers and reviewees
- Helpful skills and prompts for effective PDRs
This year, an optional in-person two-hour workshop has been developed to support reviewers, called ‘How to have effective PDR conversations’. These begin on 10 December and will then run twice in January and twice in February. To register for any of these workshops please search for ‘PDR’ in the Learning area of my.HR.
