AI in Education: Creating the future together

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is opening up new opportunities and raising important questions in education. At Loughborough University, the AI in Education (AIED) research group has been established to unite academics and Professional Services staff in exploring how AI can support teaching, learning, and student support.

The group offers a collaborative space for discussions, learning, and addressing ethical considerations around this rapidly evolving technology in the sector.

Through regular networking sessions, interactive workshops, and updates on cutting-edge AI tools, the AIED group helps staff with ideas and resources to apply AI responsibly and effectively in their work. The group is dedicated to empowering staff with knowledge, insights and support to use AI in ways that complement and extend their existing roles.

Whether you're curious about applying AI in your practice, exploring its applications, ethical use, or simply seeking to learn more, the AIED group is here to support you.

The first event in the AIED group’s new series will take place on 8 January 2025. This launch event will introduce the group, provide updates on its progress and goals, and offer an opportunity for networking and idea-sharing. Designed to inspire collaboration and spark new ideas, the session will help to explore AI’s potential in shaping education at Loughborough University.
