The Role of Demand Side Management (DSM) in Energy Transitions: Examining the Prospects of Promoting Electric Cooking in Kenya

Supervisors: Professor Ed Brown and Professor Jairo Quiros-Tortos

The objective of this study is to identify policy options that can promote electric cooking while highlighting the impact of electricity tariffs as a constraining factor to widespread adoption and use of electric cooking applications. The research will explore the prospects of promoting electric cooking within the framework of applying demand side management (DSM) measures as facilitators of energy transitions from traditional forms to modern and cleaner options.
