On the day, seven prizes were handed out to students that excelled during their time studying our postgraduate Geography programmes. These were Dissertation Prizes, the School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prize, and the STEER Prize for Excellence in Energy Modelling.

Zak Mainwaring - The STEER Prize for Excellence in Energy Modelling
Dissertation prizes are awarded to the student or students who obtain the highest mark in their dissertation module.
The STEER Prize for Excellence in Energy Modelling is presented to the student who demonstrates the best performance across modules ‘Mapping and Modelling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’ and ‘Economic Modelling and Policy for Sustainable Development’. The judging criteria will be the student with the highest average across the two named modules.
The School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prize is given to a student who is judged to have made an exceptional extra-curricular contribution to the discipline, School or University or wider community.
