Lightning Netball Tournaments

The place to find out about all upcoming Netball Tournaments hosted by Loughborough Lightning!

Tournaments are based here on campus at Loughborough University. We run Junior, Mixed, Mens and Senior tournaments throughout the year.

25/1/25 Lightning Mixed Netball Tournament

Blow away those post Christmas blues and join us for a day of match play at the Sir David Wallace Sports Arena at Loughborough University on the 25th of January Teams to provide Umpires (experienced)

Play should be finished by 5pm.

 

Format will be dependant on the number of team entries.

Levels

This Tournament is open to all Mixed teams that are looking to play competitive netball.

Umpires

All Teams are responsible for Umpire provision.  Umpires must be a B award or very experienced C award, ideally with some experience of Umpiring Men's Netball.

Parking is available in Car Park 9 and David Wallace is a short walk from there. (turn left out of the car park).  Please note that there is a charge for parking via the APCOA parking app.

 

27/4/25 Lightning Walking Netball Tournament

Join us for a day of match play at the Netball Centre at Loughborough University on the 27th April 2025 for our Annual Walking Netball event. Followed by coffee and cakes! Teams to provide Umpires (minimum C award)

Levels

This Tournament is open to all senior players who are no longer playing 'running' netball.  It is designed to still have the competition we all love but to also be inclusive and fun for all.

Umpires

All Teams are responsible for Umpire provision.  Umpires must be an experienced C award or above - preferably with knowledge of Walking netball

Parking is available in Car Park 9 and David Wallace is a short walk from there. (turn left out of the car park).  Please note that there is a charge for parking via the APCOA parking app.

 

26/7/25 and 27/7/25 Lightning Annual Junior Netball Tournament

Join us on 26th/27th July for our annual Junior Tournament! A fun end-of-season event for you and your club. Details: - 26th July: U12s & U16s. - 27th July: U10s & U14s. - Timings: 9:00 – 17:00 - Location: Sir David Wallace Hall and the Netball Centre, Loughborough University.
