Graduate Outcomes Survey

The Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) is the largest annual social survey in the UK, capturing the careers destinations of all UK graduates. The latest available data for Loughborough tells us that 86.3% of our 2022 first degree UK graduates are in graduate level work or higher-level study within 15 months of graduating.
About the Graduate Outcomes Survey
All our graduates are contacted approximately 15 months after graduation by email, text message or phone by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) with a request to complete the survey, which takes about ten minutes.
Graduates are asked what they are doing during a particular week in the year. e.g. working, further study, self-employment, developing a professional portfolio, travelling, or something else. It also asks what value their studies have played in their current activities.
It is therefore important that you update your personal contact details before leaving the University so that you have the opportunity to take part.
Why Loughborough graduates should take part in the survey
The results of the Graduate Outcomes Survey are helpful to us all. The information collected:
- measures graduate progression into high level employment, further study or other positive outcomes.
- prepares graduates for the ever-changing job market.
- helps us to develop and promote our courses at Loughborough.
- influences our position in league tables and rankings such as the TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework).
You can find out more about the survey on the Graduate Outcomes website.
