Get Ahead Together
Get Ahead Together (GAT) is a group mentoring programme run for Part A students. Through the programme you will get first-hand advice from your knowledgeable peer mentors as well as access specialised information from our experienced Student Services staff at Loughborough University.

As a member of the Get Ahead Together Programme (GAT) you will:
- Be part of a community with like-minded peers, who will also be studying in your same academic school
- Get supported with your transition into and progression through life at university
- Gain timely and relevant knowledge on the skills and resources you need to ease your 1st year at university
As an attendee you will get:
- A free meal at the session each week.
- Useful resources, tips and activities in our exclusive Get Ahead Together workbook.
- Networking opportunities with students, Student Services staff, #LboroAlumni and Guest Speakers.
- A chance to progress towards the Personal Best Award, improving your skills to enhance your employability.

Your Get Ahead Together (GAT) Sessions:
There are 6 Semester Two Get Ahead Together Sessions that take place in February and March 2025.
Each session includes a specialised workshops from our experienced Student Services staff followed by a student led GAT mentoring sessions.
Semester 2 2024/25 Sessions:

- Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: Boosting Confidence for Academic Success
- My Story - Surviving the Journey
- Exploring Placements, Internships, and Work Opportunities

To become a GAT Member, join our programmes:
The workshops are organised by the Student Success Academy and wider Careers Network team. The peer mentoring sessions are co-designed and deliver by our Part B and C peer mentors.
