At our library, we believe that the power of sharing knowledge goes beyond books—it extends to the small yet meaningful ways we support each other, especially when life gets overwhelming.
For Stress Awareness week, we introduced a de-stress board, a space where library users could share their personal tips for unwinding and managing stress. For those who didn’t have the chance to visit the de-stress board, here are some of our favourites:
- Take part in recreational sport @lbororecsport
- Sleep, take a walk, listen to music
- Listen to your favourite song
- Sleep
- Take a break and blast music and maybe gym
- Have a day out with friends or self-care day, all about you!
- Drink water and eat something sweet
- Eating food
- Be kind to yourself
- Take things one step at a time. Everything can be broken down into smaller more manageable things. Take your time, go at your own pace and you’ll be ok. Take care of yourself!
- ‘Take my hand, close your eyes, now feel’ –Barbie
Thank you once again to all the library users who shared their advice and kindness with our community.
Together, we’re building a space that values wellbeing as much as it does study. We look forward to seeing more of your ideas on different topics in the future!
