Toilet Refurbishment

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS

The internal toilets in the David Collett Dining Hall building are to be refurbished.

This work will provide a better student experience by modernising the old communal toilets.

Loughborough University is working in partnership with local building contractor Beacon Commercial Solutions Ltd (Loughborough, Leicestershire).

The work will be undertaken as a traditional building project, the building contractor will initially identify then isolate the electrical & mechanical services feed to the toilets in the building (this may cause intermittent nuisance tripping of electrical supplies in the building for short periods).

There will always be at least one useable toilet in the building during the project.

The dining hall will remain open for the duration of the project; however, access restrictions may be implemented in the corridors when the contractor is moving material around the building.

The operative’s will wear Hi-Vis clothing & contractor ID badges, please adhere to their instructions keeping a safe distance from the site of the works.

TIMESCALE

The duration of the works - 3 months starting 20th January 2025 and completed by 30 March 2025.

Please see the contract site drawings of the internal layout of the David Collett Dining Hall for information.
