International exchanges and study abroad students

If you're joining Loughborough University as an international exchange or study abroad student, you can find safe and University approved accommodation. Students joining us in February 2025 have a number of accommodation options available.

Campus accommodation in university halls

We have a limited number of rooms available for Semester 2 exchange students in Loughborough University campus accommodation.

We encourage all Semester 2 students to submit an application to live in university halls, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer rooms out to all students who apply for campus accommodation.

Please note that we are allocating rooms as they become available, so you may only receive a room offer very close to the start of your course. We recommend looking for alternative accommodation in addition to submitting your application for a room in halls.

Applying for campus accommodation

Register an account on the Accommodation Hub

Register an account on the Accommodation Hub. Our online reservation system will guide you through the short registration process and when this is complete you will receive a confirmation email.

Submit an application

When you are eligible to make an application, you can select up to five hall preferences. You can select preferences based on area of the university, catering provision and bathroom provision.

We use your hall preferences as a guide when looking to allocate you a room, but we cannot guarantee that you will be offered one of your preferred rooms.

Accept your room offer

Once we have allocated you a room, you will receive an email confirming your offer. Offers are subject to availability.

Please make sure you check the email address you used on your accommodation application so you do not miss out on your accommodation offer.

You will have five days from when the offer is made to accept your contract. To accept the contract, you will be required to enter your accommodation username and password. You will be entering into a legally binding agreement with the University, your landlord.

Please contact the Student Accommodation Centre if you experience problems applying for your accommodation.
