Followed by 35 years in industry, working on the design & development of real-time, embedded, safety-critical systems; 15 years in the Avionics industry (Rolls-Royce, MTU, Westland Helicopters), 2 years industrial research at Warwick University (WMG), 15 years in the Automotive industry (Jaguar, TRW, Continental), 3 years working on smart transformers for the national grid (Third Equation).

Investigating automation of the safety assessment process when introducing cobots into the manufacturing process. Can the latest generative AI tools interpret design documents written in natural language, identify potential hazards, and provide useful feedback?
