Christopher Malins is Project Manager of the Sustainable Solar Energy Systems Network+. The SES Network+ is a 30-month project with the goal of developing an industrially facing, practical coalition for skills and workforce development to enable widespread solar implementation in the UK through a programme of structured support for Early Career Researchers from UK Universities.
The project is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Led by Loughborough University's Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST), the project partners are Lancaster University, Newcastle University and the University of Southampton.
Within CREST, Christopher was previously Network Development Officer for the SuperSolar Network+ and in 15 years at Loughborough University has spent time in the Strategic Change Team and Research Office. Prior to this he spent four years as Project Manager in the commercial research sector after having spent 12 years in post-doctoral positions in the UK and abroad.
