IAS Open Programme

National Taipei University of Technology

Dr Ardila Hayu Tiwikrama is an associate professor of chemical and biotechnology department at the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), and her research in thermophysical properties and phase equilibria technology. She obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Sepuluh Nopember Institut of Technology (ITS) and her Ph.D. degree from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), where she worked under the supervision of Professor Ming-Jer Lee.

Dr Tiwikrama leads the TSEL Lab@NTUT, which aims to advance phase equilibria technology using green technology as an effective and feasible solution for the critical needs of clean and safe water, cleaner energy, and environmental stewardship, addressing UN Sustainable Development Goals 6, 7, and 13. Her team works on both fundamental and applied aspects of research, focusing on developing methods and innovating on experimental process design to enhance the optimization of separation process, especially in green technology. The lab has built and developed state-of-the-art research facilities for macro, micro, and molecular level investigations pertaining to separation processes.

Dr Tiwikrama has received an Early Career Award and recognitions for her excellence and impact in the thermophysical properties and phase equilibria technology from American Chemical Society. Dr. Tiwikrama has also received a prestigious grant from Taiwan-France from National Science Technology Council-Campus France for networking grant. She is currently serving as an early career board of Journal of Chemical and Engineering Data (ACS Publications) and an invited member of the editorial boards of several journals.

During their IAS Fellowship, Dr Tiwikrama is collaborating with Professor Anna Croft from the Department Chemical Engineering.
