Dr Petr Siegl
IAS Open Programme
Graz University of Technology
Petr Siegl obtained his PhD in 2011 jointly from the Czech Technical University in Prague (Czechia) and the University Paris 7 (France). He was a postdoc at the University of Lisbon (Portugal) in 2012 and at the University of Bern (Switzerland) in 2013-2018 where he received in particular the Ambizione grant of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
Before his current position in Graz, he worked as a lecturer at the Queen’s University Belfast (UK) in 2018-2021. His research interests are in functional analysis and spectral theory with an emphasis on non-self-adjoint differential operators (e.g. Schrödinger, Dirac, wave) stemming from problems of mathematical physics.
During their IAS Fellowship, Dr Siegl is collaborating with Dr Jean-Claude Cuenin from the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
