In her new role, Helen will lead the strategic and operational development of the University’s regional, national and global reputation, its brand presence and market position to support delivery of the business objectives outlined in the University’s strategy, Creating Better Futures. Together.
She will lead the six teams within the Marketing and Advancement directorate: Strategic Marketing; Global Engagement Recruitment; Future Students and Marketing Operations; Brand, Digital and Creative Production; Corporate Communications; and Philanthropy, Alumni and Supporter Engagement.
Helen has a wealth of experience within the higher education sector. She is currently Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at the University of Nottingham, where she provides strategic marketing and communications leadership for the University and leads the External Relations department that comprises marketing, communications, student recruitment, global engagement, political affairs, the Institute for Policy and Engagement and Lakeside Arts.
Prior to her appointment at Nottingham, Helen spent six years as Director of Marketing and Communications at the University of Warwick, where she created the University’s first marketing function.
Helen also spent a number of years in marketing roles at the University of Leicester, eventually becoming Head of Marketing Communications.
Helen is a member of several influential bodies in the higher education sector, including the CASE Universities Marketing Forum and the CASE Communications and Marketing Commission. She has been co-chair of the marketing, communications and recruitment track of the CASE Europe Annual Conference on three occasions and was also a Faculty Tutor for the CASE Marketing and Communications Institute.

Helen will take up her new role at Loughborough in March.
