Sanctuary Scholarships
Gifts to Sanctuary Scholarships support students to access new opportunities and to escape hardship.
Sanctuary Scholarships have been set up to support students fleeing conflict or war in their home country.
A Sanctuary Scholarship will cover the entirety of a students’ tuition fees at undergraduate or postgraduate level to allow them the opportunity to attend Loughborough University.
The University is aspiring to become a University of Sanctuary – a university that welcomes asylum seekers and refugees to the community and fosters a culture of acceptance and inclusion for all.
This new scheme has been set up to support and encourage those who are in turmoil to have the confidence and chance to pursue higher education.
It will also help them on their journey to creating a better and safer life for themselves and their families.
Support our Sanctuary Scholars
The University has already supported four Sanctuary Scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year. The scholarships cover the tuition fees for these students.
Loughborough is committed to waiving the tuition fees, but your donation can help towards living costs during their time at Loughborough.
This would help our students to study without the financial burdens that can prevent them from accessing higher education and would open doors for them.
