Yanning studied her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology between 2000-2004 in Beijing Institute of Technology, China. She received her MSc in Multimedia and Internet Computing in 2005 and PhD in Computer Science in 2011 from Loughborough University. Her PhD research was in the area of Wireless Sensor Network Data Processing. She became a University Teacher in the Computer Science department in 2015.
She is part of the Networks and Systems Group.
