Workshop

Have a go at fun, relaxing and expressive drawing exercises.

* For Loughborough University staff and postgraduate students only (PGT and PGR) *

About the workshop

In the Body in Motion Drawing Workshop, Rachel will guide you through a series of drawing exercises that will give you the opportunity to relax, have fun and be creatively expressive. Using charcoal, pencil, chalks on small and large format paper, at each stage Rachel will demonstrate how to make exciting drawings. There will be the opportunity to draw on your own and, if you wish, ultimately be part of a large-scale collective drawing.

This workshop is part of LU Arts’ new Creative Health Series for staff and postgraduate students. Curated by Gussi Philippou, this is a year-long journey of six workshops led by artists from different creative backgrounds and will culminate in an exhibition. Over the year, we’ll explore how creative practices can boost health and wellbeing through three core themes: Flow Theory, Community and Sustainability.

The workshop is taking place in room MHL0.13 on the ground floor of Martin Hall.

Accessibility

MHL0.13 is located on the ground floor of Martin Hall. There is step free access into the building (including an external ramp and door leading directly into this room) and an accessible toilet along the ground floor corridor.

If you have any specific access requirements or anything you would like us to be aware of when running the event, please let us know via the booking form or email LUArts@lboro.ac.uk in advance of booking and we will do our best to accommodate them.
