About the workshop
Join us in the experimental world of bookbinding and learn how to make unique and playful books.
You will be guided step-by-step through the process to create your own notebook, using easily sourced materials and tools, or those you can find around you. At the end of the session, you will have your own beautiful, handmade book and colourful cover jacket. Perfect to give as a gift or for your own enjoyment!
Suitable for all abilities. All materials provided.
About the artist
Chiara Dellerba is an artist, facilitator and curator based in the UK. Her work explores critical, social and fictional dimensions of ecology, placemaking and conviviality. She develops long-term, collaborative and interdisciplinary projects that aim to expand notions of place, community and human- more than human relationships. Her work has been exhibited across different countries: Macro Museum (IT), Onetwentyeight gallery(US), Kiyomiyamagishi (JP), NAE (UK), Fermynwoods Contemporary Art (UK), Biennial of Western Balkans(BG), 58th Venice Biennale (IT). Her current projects are: Reimagining Sleep and The Chimera Plantarium.
Accessibility
There is step free access into the building and the room is located on the ground floor of Martin Hall. An accessible toilet is located along the corridor from the room.
