Evening classes
Whether you're a complete beginner or someone with previous ceramics experience you'll get to try out different techniques and use a range of tools in this pottery class.
Please note that this class is not open to under 16s.
When
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30-9pm during term time (autumn and spring terms) and over the summer holidays (subject to tutor availability). The classes are run in eight week block. It is exactly the same content for both days, attendees choose which night to sign up for.
Spring 2025 update: We are not able to offer an 8-week Thursday pottery class in the spring term. However, we are planning a short course for Thursday evenings which will start later in the term. Look out for details here in the new year or subscribe to our mailing list to make sure you receive details once they are confirmed.
Where
Room 30, 3D Design Building, Loughborough University. This single storey building is located directly behind Edward Barnsley Building on the Loughborough College side of Epinal Way, opposite the main campus.
Parking
There is parking in front of Edward Barnsley Building or close to the 3D Design Building, which is only available to visitors after 6pm (prior to 6pm it is permit holders only). Visitors are required to register their vehicle and pay to park on campus, including outside Edward Barnsley and 3D Design. There is a flat evening rate of £1 after 6pm.

How to book
Following a priority booking period for our mailing list subscribers our pottery class for the spring term has sold out. Being on our mailing list gives you the best chance of securing a place. To access priority booking periods for future classes, please sign up to our mailing list.
Accessibility
There is step free access into the building. If you have any specific access requirements or anything you would like us to be aware of when running the event, please let us know via the booking form or email LUArts@lboro.ac.uk in advance of booking and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Refunds and Cancellations
We will issue refunds for cancellations (minus Eventbrite fees) up to seven days prior to the first class, but no refunds will subsequently be issued unless a class is cancelled and cannot be re-arranged.
Tutor - Lucy Andrews
Lucy Andrews is an experienced ceramicist, currently working as a ceramics technician and part time visual arts tutor at Leicester College. In addition to this, Lucy runs shorter adult workshops at Two Queens Gallery in Leicester, where she also has a studio space.
