Alumni reunited and celebrated their shared experiences at recent events held in Beijing, Houston, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
In early November, alumni gathered at a local beer bar in Beijing. This was hosted by International Alumni Ambassadors Charles Li and Charlie Williams. Everyone enjoyed a meal and drinks and catching up with friends and forming new connections. The group was keen to organise future events and were already planning their next meet-up.
International Alumni Ambassador, Mark Andrews hosted a gathering in Houston. The group enjoyed a meal together and one person travelled four hours from Dallas!
Alumni joined a special event in Shanghai which focused on Urban Resilience and Climate Change. A delegation from the University, including staff, delivered updates and hosted a panel discussion. The group enjoyed reconnecting with the University.
Alumni also gathered for a mixer event in Hong Kong. The event was hosted by a delegation of academic staff. The event was a successful and enjoyable event with ten alumni attending.
Finally, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings CB FREng FRS hosted an alumni reception at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, giving alumni the opportunity to engage and strengthen their connection with the University. You can now view the photos from the Kuala Lumpur reception.
We have more events scheduled for 2025, and we’re excited to watch these networks grow. Stay connected with our global community and check our events page for updates.
